Use the following directions to reset or change your web browser's "Local network access" prompt settings:

Chrome:

Go to Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Site Settings -> Additional Permissions -> Local Network

Check that the "Default Behavior" option for "Sites can ask to access other devices on your local network" is toggled on.

Under "Customized behaviors" check if any Hanover College website is listed in the "Not allowed to access other devices on your local network" section, click on the three dots and select the "Remove" option.

If you made any changes, quit and relaunch Chrome.

Edge:

Go to Settings -> Privacy, search and services -> Site permissions -> All Permissions -> Local network

Check that the "Default Behavior" option for "Ask before accessing (recommended)" is toggled on.

Under "Customized behaviors" check if any Hanover College website is listed in the "Not allowed to access other devices on your local network" section, click on the three dots and select the "Remove" option.

If you made any changes, quit and relaunch Edge.

Firefox:

Go to Settings -> Permission and data

In the Permissions list, click on "Local network devices".

If any Hanover College website is listed, ensure that the Status for that website is set to "Allow".

Additionally, at the bottom, ensure that the checkbox for the "Block new requests to access apps and services on devices connected to your Wi-Fi or local network." is unchecked.

Click the "Save changes" button if you made any changes, and then quit and relaunch Firefox.

The next time you visit a Hanover College website, "my.hanover.edu" specifically, and you are prompted with the message "Look for and connect to any device on your local network" select "Allow".
